Procedure

Procedure text is a text to describe how to make or doing something. This text uses the simple present tense and ofter imperative sentence. It also uses temporal conjunctions, such as first, second, then, next, finally, etc. => Designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or steps.
=> Explains how people perform different processer in sequence of s teps
=> User the simple present tense.
-User imperative sentences.
-User temporal conjunctions.
Such as , First, Second, Then, Finally, etc.

@ The structure of this text consistes of three parts ;
-AIM/GOAL (or title)
-MATERIALS (not required for all procedural text)
-STEPS

Present tense

Simple present tense is used to express hobits, general truths, repeated actions or unchanging situation, emotions and wishes to give instructions or direction. To express fixed arrangements. Present or future. Present tense divided become 2 these are;
1. Verbal sentences
The pattern;
(+) Affirmative form ; Subject + Verb 1 (s/es)+ Object
(-) Negative form ; Subject + don’t?doesen’t+ Verb 1
(?)Interogative : Do/Does+ Subject + Object + ?
Example; * She plays badminton every week
* She doesn’t play badminton every week
* Does she play badminton every week?

2. Non verbal sentences
The pattern;
(+) Affirmative form : Subject + To be (am/is/are) + noun/ adverb/adjective.
(-) Negative form : Subject + To be (am/is/are) + not + nou/adverb/adjective.
(?) Interogative : To be (am/is/are) + subject + noun/adverb/adjective + ?.
Example; * He is handsome
* He is not handsome
* Is he handsome?.

NOTES;
Verbs ending in-why : The third person changes
The -y to -ies ; Fly => Flies,
: Cry=> Cries.

Exception ; If there is a vowel before the
-y: Play => Plays,
Pray => Prays.
Add –es to verbs ending in ; ss, x, sh, ch, he passes, she catches, he fixes, it pushes.

Often Never Ever
